MVAC Youth Corner - April 2016

April 30 and May 1 from 12-5pm is the Arts Alive Festival, which is a gathering of many artistic designs and art works. Countless amazing artists come together to Mission Viejo and create “awe-inspiring works” spurring those creative minds. Mission Viejo Activities Committee is involved in the “Pint Size Picasso” booth at Arts Alive. This is a booth where the youth and new members who sign up work and collect money for small squares that the attendees at Arts Alive can make and design the way they want to. Once all the squares are collected they will be put together to fabricate a grand piece of artwork.

Bailey, 16 years old, 9 years involvement in MVAC:

What is the next upcoming event in April and can you tell us a little about this event?
“Up in the Air is the next upcoming event. It is on Saturday, April 16th. This event has many cool activities, shows and crafts. And, in my opinion, the coolest thing about this event is that different types of helicopters fly in and you are able to actually go inside the helicopter and take pictures. I believe that all age groups would enjoy ‘Up in the Air’ because there is something for everyone to do”
